Ed's Notes: The second version of Doctor Fate were an Aunt-and-Nephew combination. In this version, the Powers are inherent to the form, rather than part of the Helmet, though they do have separate Alter Ego pages. I played this character once and it was a lot of fun. The Sorcery Power gives you a LOT of flexibility (obviously) but with a Spirit of 13, you were limited to just 12 AP's at a time without taking damage, which brought the character back down to Earth from the original, Kent Nelson version. So it was a lot of fun, while still remaining some sort of challenge. What DIDN'T come up at that time was the aspect of the character being made up of a woman in her 20's (30's?) and a 12 year old boy, and how their contradictory natures might play out. It might be possible for TWO players to play this incarnation of Dr. Fate!
The B/RB rates her Connection with the JLI "High," and omits the Buddy Advantage.
First Appearance: Doctor Fate #1 (July, 1987) |
