Ed's Notes: A WWI flying Ace. Pretty bad-ass. But more than that... A GERMAN Flying Ace, being written about as the protagonist, during a time when the comics code was still in full force and considered serious business.  That's really bad ass. That was a level of writing and storytelling that you don't see anymore. Sure, heroes can be conflicted, and even edgy nowadays, but this was a story looking at the horrors of war, from the enemy's perspective, written fro kids who's parent fought in WWII.  In so many ways the Silver age really was the best, goofy comics code notwithstanding.

  1. Two things: first, either lower his Initiative to 24, or add Lightning Reflexes to account for it, and second, he was a Freiheer/Baron, with lands to hunt on and appropriate hunting lodge. Give him a Wealth of at least '7'. Oh, and adjust his Weaponry skill to beyond only melee weapons. He is a deadly shot under all circumstances.

    1. You are correct on the Initiative. The 2nd Ed BGR Book lists it at 26, erroneously. This has happened several times, and my answer in the past has always been to recalculate initiatives rather that add or subtract anything from the character. In any case, you are correct: 24 is the appropriate initiative.

And on the Weaponry Skill, also correct. That was my bad. It's supposed to be the generalized Skill. I've fixed that.

As for the WEALTH... You make a good case, but I'm generally, almost 100%, including only published material here, unless specifically noted. It's POSSIBLE he was land-rich, but cash-poor? IDK... You make a good case, and if the character were to be used, I could see allowing that to be increased.

      THANKS! Good catches!
