Ed's Notes: For years this guy was a second rate punk, a lesser-version of Captain Cold. That all changed in 1992 with his introduction to Batman: The Animated Series.  In his first episode, they created a back story that ranks among the best of ALL TIME.  It was... stunningly good. It was (unfortunately) the entire reason that Freeze was chosen to be one of the two feature villains  in the fourth Batman installment, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, which... well SUCKED. HARD. It ranks as one of the WORST of all time. But that episode of Batman TAS from 25 years ago was enough to forever cement Freeze as one of the better Batman villains of all time.

Also... He's been a bit buffed up already since second edition, but I think the new suit goes too far. If I were to use him, at least at first, he would use the original suit and pistol. Later, maybe, the mobile Freeze Ray, and maybe only as a shocker appearance, finally, the big suit.
