Ed's Notes: Harold is (or was?) one of the more obscure members of the Bat-Family, and I was recently surprised to see that he still kicking around. Apparently he's neither mute nor even a hunchback anymore? I don't know. Seem he'd undergone some alteration from this early version in any case. But hey: A supporting cast member with a Gadgetry Skill rater higher than freakin' BATMAN'S?! Damn!
Also without Advantage: Connection: Batman (High), it seems like Batman is just using him. I mean, yeah, he's gives him a place to live, but it's still a frickin' CAVE. And when he's there, he more than earns his keep. Seems like if he needed some help, he should be able to call in a solid or two by now, no? Come on Bruce!

So, Harold was cured of all his ailments by Hush, that's how he got most of his Intel on Bruce, and how he got his post hypnotic suggestion device into the bat computer.
ReplyDeleteYou mean Batman got sold out by Harold?! That sucks!
DeleteAnd quite possibly the origin that Batman cannot make his own gadgets and gear, which challenges the perception of his intelligence. Especially when compared to Tony Stark and Lex Luthor.
