I'm not sure what to do with his Charisma skill. 1st Edition rates it as above, lower than his Infl and Aura. I mean... I could bump it up to 10, but that seems... excessive? Alternatively I could make it 9, which would still be useless unless I lower his Infl and/or Aura. SO... Not sure what to do, so for now I'm leaving it. Chalk it up to more first edition weirdness.

Welcome to the Mayfair Games DC Heroes RPG online Character Database!

This is a older game, long out of print, but I was a huge fan of it (obviously) and would love to get a group back together at some point. In the meantime, I hope you find this resource to be both useful and enjoyable.

The information contained herein comes primarily from the second and third editions of the game, although if a character exists only in the (pre-Crisis) 1st edition, and I feel that their stats can be reasonably used and be a good fit with the later (post-Crisis) editions, I may include them as well, for completeness sake. Eventually all entries will include links to previously published versions of the character, and ALL character information on any given page will be cited back to the published source material. Links between the characters, their Connections, Teams, Bases of Operation, etc... will be included as often as possible - which should make this more interesting.

I may also include some notes with some of the entries, explaining how I might change the character in my campaigns - Handling connections differently (because I interpret the JLA and JLI my own way, and don't even recognize the JLE, for example), adding skills (how does Bat-Girl have a Batarang, but not the Weaponry skill?!) And in some cases just some general thoughts. (Likes/dislikes, head-scratchers, etc...)

I also think there should be a discussion, if people are interested in having one. So please leave comments, but also bear in mind that this is meant to be a FUN place for people with a shared interest and hobby. So, PLEASE, stay on topic and DON'T BE A DICK! ;)

Hey Ed concerning the Charisma skill I think it is fine a t 7 APs. This guy is a combination of science/the supernatural. I think the reason that his Infl/Aura is that high has to do with the fact that he as well as his servants believe him to be the incarnation of the Hindu god Kalki. So from that aspect having a 9 in Infl and Aura makes sense. For others who don't believe that claim I think him trying to interact with them would fall to his Charisma skill. That's just my take based off the background information in The Doom Patrol Source Book pages 28-29.

Kalki's surname is not Desi, but Desai, the same as his daughter Arani, AKA Doom Patrol member Celsius.
