Ed's Notes: OK, so this is Superboy from the future, who... grows up to be Superman in the present? I'll be honest, I never understood this part of the LoS Continuity and it's one of the reason I don't really Like LoS. In ANY CASE, this is NOT the Cadmus Cloned Superboy.

First Appearance: More Fun Comics #101 (January–February, 1945)

  1. In the original history, before the Crisis on Infinite Earths, this Superboy lived in Smallville in the past and visited the Legion as a member in the 30th century before growing up to be Superman in the present. It's likely that Superman's optimism came partly from seeing the 30th century firsthand. The Legion's first appearance was when they came back in time to recruit Superboy.

    1. Thanks for the history lesson. That makes a lot of sense.
