Dex:   6   Str:   9   Body:   15
Int:   5   Will:  7   Mind:    6
Infl:  6   Aura:  4   Spirit:  4
Initiative: 23  Hero Points:  65

Powers:
Cling: 2
Radio Communications: 13
Regeneration: 5
Running: 5
Sealed Systems: 11
Thermal Vision: 5

Skills:
Charisma: 6
Gadgetry: 4
Vehicles: 5

Bonuses: Radio Communications can transmit video as well as audio information.

Limitations: Cling only works on mental surfaces; Regeneration will not work if current Body is below 5 AP's. In such a case, he must be repaired as though he were a Gadget.

Advantages: Connection: Doom Patrol (High), Teen Titans (High)

Drawbacks: Miscellaneous: Seems to have a problem keeping his metal body intact. Any time he receives 10 or more RAPs of damage from a single blow, roll on the following table:

Result
1-2    Arm knocked off
3-4   Leg knocked off
5       Head knocked off
6-10 No effect

For each arm knocked off, Dex and Str are reduced by 2 APs. If one leg is knocked off, can only move/Run at a rate of 2 APs. If both legs are knocked off, can no longer move at all. If head is knocked off, he immediately drops unconscious. Whenever any limb is removed, he must be repaired as though he were a Gadget in order to recover.

Alter Ego: Clifford Steele
Motivation: Unwanted Power
Occupation: Adventurer, Race Car Driver
Wealth: 8

Source: adapted from 1st
Edition Doom Patrol Sourcebook, pages 9-10
Affiliation(s): Doom Patrol

Ed's Notes: Even including Cyborg, Cliff Steele might be the closest thing DC has to Marvel's Thing (Ben Grimm.) That whole Drawback was in the notes potion, underneath his entry, in the DP Sourcebook. Since 1st Edition didn't really have "Drawbacks" I just moved it up. I also converted his "Chest Camera" to the newer "Radio Communications" Power, with the Visual Bonus.

Ring loses 1 AP of Force Manipulation and Omni-Power for each AP of Skin Armor activated. The Ring's Body is only 6 when not being worn. Note: If the Ring fails it's reliability roll, it must be touched against the Power Battery to reactivate it.

Power Battery [Body: 25, Energy Absorption: 18, Invisibility: 15, R#: 2] Limitations: Power Battery can only be used to charge the user Ring for 24 hours. Invisibility only works on Battery, functions per user's will.

Ed's Notes: 1993 was a busy year for DC, and the 3rd Edition only did a good job covering the Death of Superman, as they included Doomsday and the four Substitutes from Reign of the Superman.  They did NOT cover Knightfall at all but I've added Bane and Azrael myself. (Not Batman II though!) And finally, the last piece of the '93 puzzle, Kyle Rayner, who took on the mantle of Green Lantern following the events of the Emerald Twilight storyline. This writeup has him pretty much benchmarked with John Stewart, just with a slightly lower Will. I could see lowering his Dex and Spirit a smidge (to 5 and 8 respectively?) but that's because I really only read his story at the very beginning. No doubt he came into his own later on, so this adaptation is perfectly fine as well.  And I believe I've take it straight-up, with no changes. But the link is above. (He's Green Lantern V on that page.) There is another writeup that I like however, and I may look at trying to blend the two, or just change over to that one. We'll see.

And, as with most of the Green Lanterns in the game, he does NOT have:

Advantages:  Connection: Green Lantern Corps (High)

...which is weird, but consistent. (Plus Hal kind of killed them all by the time Kyle was active. I really thought he was going to be OK, once he found out that Carol Survived, but every man has his breaking point and they just HAD to fuck with him.)

Ed's Notes: The stats above are for the "Average" Wildebeest, as many have been created, and are controlled by a central mind, with the same stats.  After the villain was defeat a baby (?) version was raised by the Titans and quickly grew into adulthood and was made a member of the team.  The stats above could be used as the basis for such a PC, though the GM may wish to lower the Int, and remove the Medicine and Scientist Skills, since these (presumably) came for the central brain/mind and do not appear to have been passed on. Plus he has the personality of an infant and can apparently be hit hard enough to be forced back into infant form? Yeah, OK. A bit of a weird one, but there you go.  The stats above are meant for the villain, who's made many duplicates, and has used them to do things like  frame the Titans for "killing" him, etc...

Ed's Notes: Interesting character, from an interesting team that can be re-interpreted several different ways.  I have a feeling this sentiment is going to apply to every member of The Hybrid, so please don't be surprised if this note is cut-n-pasted several times almost exactly. Lol.  And depending on what the GM decides to do with these guys, Steve Dayton/Mento can possible have ROYALLY screwed up in creating them.  He's not considered a "Villain" per se, but could easily become a rather dangerous one, if the PC's hold him responsible for whatever the members of Hybrid do, and decide to try and take him in.  Could make for a pretty cool campaign!

In spite of the image above, the NT Sourcebook describes him as an "easy-going sort who does not wan t to fight the Titans." Which is GOOD for the Titans, because his Flame Being would give him a Physical EV of 20 and he has a Physical RV of 27! The guy could go toe-to-toe with DOOMSDAY for a while!  There's no one on the Titans who could deal with him Physically. Hell, most of the JUSTICE LEAGUE would have trouble taking him down!

Also... Not a one of them has any Wealth rating listed in the NT Sourcebook.  Is it "0?" Is THAT why they took to crime?! Lol.

I have to say though... The character sheet is bit sloppy. First of all, his Motivation should still be "Unwanted Power," like the rest of the team, and he should have the Drawback: Catastrophic Irrational Attraction to being loyal to Mento. Also, he should have a low-rated Growth Power (1) that is Always On. Because he's just flat out BIGGER than normal humans.  But, hey... With a Psychical RV of 21, who the hell cares?! He's going to be nearly unstoppable by any of the Titans and could stand even toe-to-toe with Superman, for a few rounds.

Ed's Notes: Ugh.  So these guys are three relatively low-rent criminals of the "Flash Rogues Gallery" variety: Ordinary dudes who got hold of a cool toy.  There are three of them, but they dress the same and use the same name and so have fooled everyone into thinking they were all one person. (Until on of them DIED and the other two kept going. Lol)  I'm honestly not sure if they share the same, single Trident, or if they have three and each one has their own.  Anyone know? Lol. They're former members of H.I.V.E., and ARE admittedly heads-and-shoulder above the average H.I.V.E. mook.  (Did the Trident come from H.I.V.E.? Why don't more members of H.I.V.E. have them?) Anyway, more research is clearly needed on my part, but they are no longer with H.I.V.E. in any case.  Between that and the three-in-one aspect of the character(s) there could be some interested story potential for lower powered characters in a more caper-driven story line.

BTW... No stats were published on the Aero-Disks in the very first picture above. How is he flying?! Also... They serious called the one black dude "Black Trident?!" Come on, man!

Ed Note: Just confirmed... They each have their own Trident. Lol.

Ed's Notes: THIS is a cool character. Arguably one of the best things to come out of the Teen Titans story-line.  Could be challenging, yet really rewarding, to work her into a long term campaign as a PC, especially if she's played well, but could be so worthwhile for a patient GM. Plus her powers are really highly rated, for a Titans character.

Also I don't usually use fan art if I can help it, but this piece by Rachel1466 on deviantART totally rocks, and I'm really not a fan of either her earlier, 1980's look, nor her more recent versions.
